Why do we do this?

We have 2 children with Wilson Disease. It was discovered when our 15 yr old daughter went into fulminant liver failure with no prior symptoms and received a liver transplant. After testing, our youngest son was diagnosed at the age of 10 and was already at Stage 3 liver disease. He is undergoing chelation therapy to rid his body of excess copper. Through this walk we hope to raise awareness about this insidious disease.

The Wilson Disease Association is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit corporation designated by the IRS. All donations are tax deductible and are being used exclusively to fund the patient registry. Donations can be made on our website at or in the right hand column.
